Joanna Gaines Pumpkin Cream Cheese Bread
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
Instructions
- Get the Oven Ready, Turn on your oven to 325°F (165°C) and put some oil or butter on a 9×5-inch pan. This will help the bread bake well and not stick to the pan.
- Make the Cheese Part, In a medium-sized bowl, beat the soft cheese, 1/4 cup sugar, egg, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla until smooth and creamy. Keep this mix for later.
- Mix Dry Stuff, In a different big bowl, mix the flour, salt, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. These spices are what make this bread smell and taste like fall.
- Make the Pumpkin Part, In another bowl, mix the pumpkin, oil, eggs, milk, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla. Mix well.
- Mix Wet and Dry Stuff, Slowly put the pumpkin mix into the dry stuff, and stir until they are mixed. Don’t stir too much; some lumps are okay. This will make the bread soft.
- Put the Mixes in the Pan, Pour half of the pumpkin mix into the pan. Put the cheese mix on top of the pumpkin mix. Put the rest of the pumpkin mix on top of the cheese mix.
- Make the Mixes Look Nice, Use a knife or a stick to gently move the cheese mix into the pumpkin mix. This will make the bread look pretty and taste better.
- Bake the Bread, Put the pan in the oven and bake for about 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when you poke the bread. The cheese part may still be a little soft, but it will get harder when the bread gets cold.
- Cool and Eat, Wait for the bread to get cold in the pan for about 10 minutes before moving it to a rack to cool more.
- When it is cold, cut and eat. Enjoy the good mix of pumpkin spice and cheese!
